you’ve gotta smile

there’s a world full of gloom out there, and a world full of doom out there,

and that’s the reason why you’ve gotta smile a little each day.

there’s a heart full of pain in here, and a heart full of hurt

and that’s the reason i’ve gotta try and laugh a little.

and there is no promise that the hurt

will goaway.           but

there’s    a

hope that

things will be better someday.

and that is reason                 enough for you and i 

to smile a little             and laugh a little 

each day.
