Grocery Woes

We’re always running out of milk

Please fetch it right away, I say

Drink less coffee and tea, he says

I don’t consume it all, you know

But I got two gallons just this weekend, where'd it go?

There’s a toddler in the house for God’s sake

And then there’s diapers to add to the list

You know how quickly he uses them up

Yeah sure, with the gallons of milk he’s downing

And don’t forget the toilet paper too

What? I didn’t quite catch the last part, honey

Oh, and could you add a pack of jaggery to the list?

So do I have to visit the local grocery store as well?

Well, not if you don’t want your black coffee 

lightly sweetened with jaggery

I’m not the only one who needs jaggery

We’ve run out of coffee and tea as well

While I’m at it shall I buy the entire store now?

Oh sure then, on your way back, get us the

Vegetables for the week and bread and curd and 

Some grated coconut and some coriander and spices
