Even Paper Planes Fly High
Even Paper Planes Fly High
yes, you can do that thing -
you know, the one which you put
aside so reluctantly, as being a damn
stupid idea that is of no good and that is
of no significance whatsoever. yes, the one
that’s safely tucked away in a deep freezer of
hibernation, bound for extinction. yes, that idea!
you know, they say that Rome was not built in a day.
I think that the same is true about a plane. what else is
true I think is that it had to have started on a day. may not
be on a particularly significant day at all. it probably started
out as an idea in somebody’s mind.and then that person thought,
oh! that’s a fantastic idea. hell no! I don’t think he thought that. but
he must’ve thought - what a piece of shit idea worth throwing in the bin.
yeah! I’m telling you, i think he must’ve thought himself to be a fool to have
imagined such grandiosity. much like you and i think of the ideas that happen to
cross our hearts and minds. but true grandiose is when you decide to stick with that
worthless idea of yours. that moment of decision, in which all the drama of emotions
and all the demons of self-doubt and all the fears of the future are silenced by just a
tiny sun-beam of gleaming hope and a tiny mustard seed like grain of faith and
by the hardened steel like grit - that moment is the one that decides the fate
of your dream, of your idea, of your silly little thought. and that moment
right there becomes one that will or might stand to define what the
future will look like not just for you, but for another person, or
maybe for a time that is different from yours. if it is for the
good of one man, or of humanity, or of the earth, that
idea holds the potential to make humans fly like
birds in the sky or it holds the power to make
a civilization to exist and to flourish and
become an adage for the ages to come.
yes, that tiny idea. so, don’t let it go
so easily. let it fly; let it fly high!
cause, you know, even paper
planes can touch the sky.
