When You Ran to Me
When You Ran to Me
I hope you gained for than just fun,
Every time to me you ran,
When things were hard to understand,
And all the fairies were gone.
You were not old enough to forget
The sweetness of milk chocolate,
Yet no longer young to avoid
The bitterness of every bleed.
You looked so innocent as a child,
As you listen to my advice,
But like a cub getting to be wild,
You always gave me a surprise.
You crossed borders just for a tour,
Seemed to dribble away from the goal,
As young soul wanted to explore,
What was hidden behind the wall.
I do not know how you were tamed,
How you controlled the passion within,
Spoiling not every precious dream,
I hope more than just fun you had gained.
