Waiting for him to speak

My love for him was unconditional, 

A story untold- my beliefs and his ambitions went hand in hand;

Round the clock we would laugh about things that didn't matter, 

Gathering strength from each other's existence it seemed....

We worked around each other's goals;

Odd to him, overwhelming for me,

One fine day....

The portion of meat on table was left to rot,

And both of us left for hospital,

Only to know of news of his death!

He lied still and I went mute,

Waiting for him to speak!
