Sun-dried Tomatoes!
Sun-dried Tomatoes!
I was walking past the garden,
Where I saw the tomatoes grow,
Surely, it was a sight to behold,
As folk familiar with gardening would know!
I thought of plucking one tomato,
And having a bite,
Fruit entangled in the lovely green leaves,
I wish I could capture the sight!
It was summertime,
And the Sun was out,
No wonder the tomatoes were ripe,
And its aroma covered the garden throughout!
I picked a handful of them,
Kept them on a cloth directly under the Sun,
Left them there to sun-dry,
I would have them later with a bun!
The next day, I went t check on them,
They weren't fresh and ripe,
But a bit roasted with crisp skin,
I would have them for breakfast, thought smoking the pipe!
Delicious seasoning of salt and pepper,
Way tastier than the fresh ones would feel,
The Sun had its way to add to the flavor,
Oh, how I liked the fruit's crunchy peel!
