She'll Smile
She'll Smile
I wonder if it would be too much to ask for,
After a prolonged wait for about five up a score.
The time of the year when mercury dropped to freeze even the Adam's ale,
Laughter, rejoice was all over at the corner christmas sale..
Walking across the pathway was a ravishing face,
My eyes gleamed & heart dashed off with double the pace.
Often when she wore the angelic smile,
Her splendid eyes seemed god's own facsimile.
Never in the maiden glance anyone moved me so much,
With her around even the breeze would get a mystic touch.
For a jiff thou feel the moment should freeze,
A tenderness that suffice anyone to go weak at the knees..
Neither rose nor tulips could match the lass's flora,
No scotch no wine could ever suppress her aura.
Such was the charisma endowed by lady,
That could make snow white go green with envy.
Swiftly she checked over Christmas gifts and the apple pie,
Fighting every penny she put in to save for everything more she was next to buy..
Huh! Nothing uncommon, I thought, just like any other girl next door..
But still something obscure, compelled me to think about her piece by piece furthermore..
I picked a veracious card from the card shelf,
'Love thy neighbor were the words on it by an elf.
A silly smile swiped my jubilant face,
A thought of the very same girl got my mind with an embrace.
And up I rolled my eyes,
To get a glimpse of the lady who had left me thoroughly mesmerized..
But Al
as! to my despair,
She hurried away down to the next square..
Nothing lured me more at the moment than to follow her red cloak,
I dodged the Christmas rush and followed her to the next block.
And as I took the turn, my curiosity didn't end,
I witnessed a group of underprivileged children sleeping in some curled-up trend.
The chaotic world appeared even more pell-mell,
Last few seconds made me traverse from heaven to hell.
A few steps away life is smooth as throwing a piece of cake after half a bite,
But life here is a battle to survive a frosty and shivery night.
Winning an argument is the biggest victory that one breed of life feels,
Other side it's begging for a bread loaf to get at least one of the meals.
I sat down for the grief was too much to bear,
I couldn't help moan over the two world compare.
'Hey, help me' someone whispered in my ear,
I looked up and the lady was here.
'Help me place these gifts beside these kids and
Be cautious not to wake them up from their peaceful sleep'
So we quietly put the gifts where they should be,
Dolls, toys, the apple pie and a cute Christmas tree.
And as we were done merrier than those kids did I appear,
But the reason for everyone's elation, the girl, had disappeared.
How it feels when someone deeply imprints your soul,
The body stays but mind gives away the control.
All I wish is to celebrate Christmas each day of my life,
Cuz I know, for every noble deed I'll do, she'll smile.
