Vanishing Moon

Around and round about the house 

Whizzed so fast the clockwork mouse ;

He watched the bright moon in the sky 

and wondered why he wondered why 

that globe grew lesser night by night.

And then it disappeared...what a fright!

"I wish I could go to the moon!" he said. 

"I can make that happen!" came a voice ahead.  

He saw in front of him a tiny fairy,

With gossamer wings, so light and airy!

She waved her wand and in a trice,

The toy room was empty of any mice!

Mr.Mouse found he was on the moon!

He wondered how he got there so soon.

"Hello!" he heard a voice, 'twas Mr.Hare,

who loved the moon and resided there;

 "The moon doesn't vanish, it's always there ",

Reassured was the mouse by Mr.Hare!

Mr.Mouse and Mr.Hare are now fast friends, 

And that is how this magic story gaily ends.
