Treasure Chest

We never spoke, we never expressed

We never ever knew how much we care,

A little baby you were

But a blessing for me.

But I never knew

What was truly in store for me.

A little fight, a little tease

I remember you playing pranks on me.

You always said this and I would moan

We just found you and made us our own.

You were always the one

who bullied and casually walked away

There was nothing that I could explain

Nor had anything to say.

As we grew up I realised

This bond was the precious thing of our life.

We never expressed, neither do we still explain,

We know for sure we are always a call away.

I guess that is what this bond is all about.

A little bully, a small chit chat, a little fight

No matter where we are

We are always there even if not in sight.

A thread of love, a thread of trust is there for all to see

But it is the bond of a lifetime

That is all my treasure with all the the sweetest, cherished memories.
