The Princess And The Peacock
The Princess And The Peacock
In some distant lands farther away from even the semblance of a civilization,
Lived a forgotten princess in a debilitated palace,
Her only companion, a timid peacock.
No one knew of her tales of valor, of bravery and unparalleled courage,
Or perhaps, those were now long forgotten.
A princess without kingdom, without her rightful riches, without her rights,
Coerced to stay concealed within the confines of some isolated lands.
Was this a consequence of her fall from grace,
Or was this a repercu
ssion of her forlorn fate?
None really matters, for the once intrepid princess drowning in opulence,
Now stayed all hushed confined within the iron fetters of negligence.
Only the peacock could at some rare moments raise her spirits -
His melancholic princess with a distant mind and frozen emotions.
Perhaps she would never be freed out of those forbidden lands,
Those alien lands of dystopia, yet the peacock would never abandon
The princess of the forgotten lands, with an unparalleled heroism.
