Shri Ram

When Lord Vishnu took incarnation of human being, 

His father King Dashrath name Him as Shri Ram,

There was illuminous light glowing on his face,

His mother Kaushalya was on the top of the world, 

There was exhilarated atmosphere in Ayodhya, 

It was like a celebration of a festival!

He was a doting son of two, 

Caring elder of three,

Role model for his siblings,

And Purushottam for his better half,

He was known for his patience, 

His intelligence, 

His knowledge, 

His wisdom and many more!

People exaggerated that 

He was born with a golden spoon, 

Being the successor of Ayodhya, 

Then too followed the order of his father, 

The oath given by his father to his stepmother Kaikai on the battlefield, 

He set the example of being an obedient son,

By accepting the 14 years forest exile, 

And by giving away the throne to his stepbrother Bharat!

He was known for his patience and perseverance in all the situations,

Being a prince he was down to earth towards all the human beings,

He freed the waiting souls,

Who were waiting for their salvation,

Fruits and roots were offered by Shabari, 

He made many friends during his 14 years of forest exile,

Who helped Him to save this younger brother Laxman's life,

Through Sanjeevani booti brought by Hanuman, 

He was a man to promote monogamy instead of polygamy,

He was known as Purushottam Ram!

He was a power pack of overwhelming qualities,

He was dwelling in the heart of His devotee,

He called Him as his aaradhya, 

His devotee Hanuman, Sugreev and Vibhishan helped Him to rescued his beloved wife Sita,

And killed the Dasavatara 'Ravana', 

Who had ego and attitude,

Who wanted to marry the beauty of the universe,

But Ram won Janak's daughter Sita by bending Shivas bow,

They were meant for each other for all their lives,

Ravana trapped Sita and brought her to Lanka, 

Shri Ram rescued his beloved wife,

Made Ramsetu in the memory of their true love!
