Celebrating Diwali With Akansha

In the midst of life's loneliness, when there was no one by my side,

Durga Puja arrived, yet happiness seemed to hide. 

Then came Diwali, along with a girl so bright,

 I thought it was ordinary

but she stole my heart that night.

She invited me to her home for Diwali's grace,

For the first time, I felt a smile on my face.

She laughed, and my heart danced to her cheerful song,

With diyas aglow, it felt like joy all along.

We lit sparklers and shared our stories with glee,

I filled her hand with sweets, and she did the same for me.

We roamed together, under the festival's charm,

And as the time to say goodbye came, I felt an alarm.

But she handed me her number, erasing my fear,

Later, I discovered we were in the same school, near.

Sometimes in life, happiness knocks on your door,

And as I think of that Diwali, I couldn't ask for more.
