A bird once dreamed

A bird once dreamed

The world in songs its sweetness does express,

A bird once dreamed of distant melodies.

But then an arrow struck its heart no less,

And with it died its song, like star that flees.

Oh, let the song still echo, let it ring,

With voices two, we seek our path anew.

In smiles, please ask her now to leave this spring,

Her final song, oh, let it not adieu.

Whose tune will linger in your heart and mind,

A string of notes, a precious gift to find.

Today, you gather, with your love so kind,

To say goodbye, her song in you enshrined.

The stars will weep, and shine with brighter light,

Remember, keep her memory in the night.

How many songs she wrote with the heart so bright,

But none could know, she flew away from sight.

So, cherish her, and feel her warm emotions,

Her last song’s tender, true, and pure devotion.
