Lights so far

Look at the sky

for the time that changes.

Clays turned into starlight,

Automated shine in a silky curtain.

But people didn't forget the roots.

For the sake of aesthetics and pixel’s delight.

We do bring mustard oil, wicks, and lanterns.

To enlighten the path that leads to Lord Rama.

 We light up the whole house, the yard,

the corners, the façade, and unexplored places

because it is a new moon.

Ahh! We go creative with colors and imagination

For artistry that we carry within us all.

We keep the door open for Goddess Laxmi

To come home and claim us as her own,

Shower all her love and prosperity.

Say what but we try as good human beings.

To celebrate, embrace, and practice enlightenment.

The most important takeaway is the heartful joy

these enormous lights bring to our faces.
