The Almond Blossom
The Almond Blossom
Fleetingly beautiful Sakura
Against the feral blue and beyond
Unseen to the eyes
The pure white of a bride’s dress
Or that of a virtuous angel’s feathered wings
The blossom-filled sprigs
With a pinch of yellow, red, and green
a hand full of bewitching beauty
Embraced with hope and new beginnings
Painted for the infant’s welcome.
The incessant months seemed to end now
But it was also the end of spring.
If only you had got to paint more of this
Fleetingly beautiful sakuras
