City of Acceptance
City of Acceptance
A city with a mind of its own,
Warm and cool, rain or shine.
One that doesn't hold me back,
But gives me room to belong.
A city that always aligns itself
With the accent of my footsteps,
While all its streets come alive
With myriad sparks of culture.
A city that gets me smitten with
The air that doesn't choke me,
The waters that don't douse me,
And the earth that doesn't fail me.
The city that has liberated me to the sky,
Yet has kept me grounded all along.
The One that received me as I am, that
I've finally found my faith in turning back.
