Together with COVID

The feeling of a turmoil within,

The hands of thy wall clock

Buzzing tunes in my ears;

The writhing swings of melancholy 

Running down the muscle as it wears.

The static routine hears the boredom

wince,

Feeling scathe by this foreigner in my genes,

Waiting for its demise , from my body 

shall it recede

My role at hospital stands 

paused and still.

When my turning positive 

made you succumb ,

The guilt blunting my soul

my hands and feet stood numb.

This deadly virus 

 we must fight together ,

Our small cuddling moments 

of status quo,

Shall force this virus to wither,

Scouring the fever and myalgia

 from our bodies and soul,

Abating the virus to conquer and roll,

We shall emerge together even strong

Skipping the therapy of masks and 

nasal prongs .
