The Teacup-Couple
The Teacup-Couple
Inside a ceramic teacup, lived
Two tiny figures, floating in the mid,
Spending their time gleefully,
And occasionally sipping some tea!
This was the teacup-couple,
That lived without the slightest bustle,
They danced long and sang in joy,
And for an outing, they roamed over the teapoy!
They slid down the ceramic handle
That was shaded in a serene sandal,
On bread-crumbs the two of them munch,
For their yummy afternoon lunch!
All is well until the owner enters,
And picks the cup with five of his fingers.
The couple jump in a flash,
And land on the saucer in a dash!
To hide, under the saucer they run,
For, the man’s slurp is nothing less than the shot of a gun!
