Sunny Mermaid Ruled My Heart

One wintry afternoon

When sun trudged

To destined abode

It spread its ambience

To one and all

Oblivious of any preferences

My eyes met one

Sitting up on green atoll

Chattering to those around.

Her hair glistened,

The perfect falling rays

Added glamour to her

Unbridled laughter,

Cool breeze played with

Strands of hair

Or wilfully stayed there!

My heart synced with its pace

Till I heard her lips

Call my name

Our eyes met

Faces matched the amber sun.
