Ethernal Inspiration
I was
not born
to You,
but was
adopted by
Your genial
approving smile
when we first met
That too
in front of my
Loving parents!
The more I met You,
the less it was,
for a new hue
of You unfolded
before me
Whenever I met You.
Your wit
as sharp as a whip,
Your vision
Saw further then
Most of us could see,
Your concern
knitted us all
In fabric called 'family'
that knew no bounds
where Your love
never forgot to touch
its remotest core.
You were,
What every woman
should be,
You were,
what every mother
should be.
God summoned You
so soon
but the warmth
of your
lovely memories
lingers on to
inspire me
to epitomise
to be a shade of
what You used to be
as I trudge on
Path called Life.
