Eyes stay half shut,
Until cup and saucer make that clinging sound
With fragrance filling the air
And throat urging for you, to get down.
You and I share a special bond
Of which I am undoubtedly fond I know you,
You would never let me yawn.
Being there for me,
From dusk till dawn.
Many would laugh away saying,
Who are you to me,
Just another beverage,
Named as chai or tea.
To those bull heads,
What would I say
For me chai,
Would be the only slay.
Not just a single flavo
ur
each has a splendid savour.
Tulsi, Mulethi, Ginger -
Enhancing the odour.
Some drinks may try,
To your flavors and prices to compete,
Walking hand in hand with you, to know your secrets,
But you hold your place real neat.
Our Jon Snow of beverages
It discriminates none
Complementing all moods and every snack
Be it a biscuit or a bun
Thank god I was introduced to you
Here I am, stuck like glue
For me it is surely true
Who needs a dude
When I have chai,
A hot reviving brew.
