Somewhere In The World...
Somewhere In The World...
Somewhere in this world, there's a place
There's a place I will never go again
It's vanished & gone to its heaven
It died after being haunted by laughs & pain
There's a song I will never listen
There's a dream I wish I never have again
There's a phoenix that will never rise
From the ashes of hope, after a brutal demise
There's a chance I never might dance in the rain
Like the tears that came but never could fall
There's a hope that I never cry on my windowpane
Somewhere in the strings in time, there's this thread
With that moment of memory, I never will recall
The thread is broken, the knot has failed to unite
For it was too weak to keep me tied
There's a book on the shelf I will never read
There's a story I wish could end
Among the pages, there rests a poem
That poem I will never sing or repeat
There's a stack of pictures I will never open
For there are some I pray I never again meet
How can I forget the dress I shall never wear again?
Somewhere in the racks, there's a book another
With yellowed pages & once green leaves
And with flowers of the spring long dead
That diary I will never bring out again
Her pages are too fragile to soak my tears
That pen is too short of ink to write & weep
