The Day After
The Day After
The day after it rained,
I walked out along the misty way,
The wind blew, soft with magic gained;
And the Lily-white that had fallen apart
Now had stories of hope to tell & say.
The Day after it rained,
I went back to the lone old tree long dead;
But on him, a small twig now danced
And so, this tree which since long-held feelings pained
Now told the wind few stories unsaid.
The Day after the clouds bid bye,
I went back to the river unblue
But there she, who gave up ago so long;
Now sang again her old love song.
The Day after the sun was back to greet,
I went back to the flame hatred of love had lit,
But the age-old wick had very long betrayed
The fire thus, which had kept "death" survive;
Now betrayed tears of a broken "life".
Perhaps a love like that, like that,
The love of heaven to the earth,
Lovers who are Infinity afar, but so eternally together;
Perhaps hold magic like life and birth.
Perhaps holds colours to herald the blue,
And a miracle for we and you.
