Shades Of Beauty
Shades Of Beauty
I see beauty in the broken window,
For it doesn't reflect back the light,
But refracts the light to swallow the darkness.
I see beauty of the tress in autumn,
They stand raw with all their leaves being shed,
As they wait for spring to blossom.
I see beauty in the eyes of the stray dog,
That held compassion,
Which I have missed to find in most human beings.
I see beauty in the roadside shrubs,
They still bloom, even when no one cared to water them.
I see beauty in the beggar's charity,
When he shares his food with the stray pup.
I see beauty in the broken heart,
That still loves.
I see beauty in my mamma's hand and papa's foot,
Both held the sacrifices,
To make us feel contented.
I see beauty in the musty old books,
That held the fingerprints of thousands of people.
I see beauty in the scars,
People gifted, that reminds me of times I survived.
Beauty is not about being impeccable,
Spotless and unbroken.
It is about breaking down to pieces,
And rebuilding from the scratch every single time.
