Salute to the Indian Soldiers

For us, they stand steadfast at the border,

Bound by duty, defying disorder.

Ever prepared to sacrifice,

Their will unyielding, their hearts like ice.

Salute to the Indian soldiers!

Because of them, we breathe in peace,

Shielded within our homeland's embrace.

Disciplined souls who heed the call,

For them, duty is the one true thrall.

Salute to the Indian soldiers!

They march into battle, fearless and bold,

With no promise of growing old.

Day and night, they blur the line,

For honor, they rise; for honor, they shine.

Salute to the Indian soldiers!

Festivals for us are colors and light,

For them, it's gunfire piercing the night.

Holi we play with hues so bright,

They see only red—their comrades' plight.

Salute to the Indian soldiers!

We shiver in winter, we sweat in the heat,

Yet they endure where land and sky meet.

Siachen's frost, the desert's blaze,

Their valor ignites even the darkest days.

Salute to the Indian soldiers!

Their wives walk alone on the village lane,

Bound by love, yet burdened with pain.

Why must their sacrifice be measured in gold?

Is that all their courage is worth to uphold?

Salute, again and again, to the Indian soldiers!
