Innocent Happiness

The void that fills me            

Pinches my body,taking away my glee The devastation caused is unprecedented,

I understand very well

For to express myself in form of words,

I never had to struggle               

Too much happiness at once is not allowed, I think                     

For my joy was taken away, in exchange of freedom, in a blink           

Freedom also came with restrictions  

Oh a bad deal !

Why was I made to part with my innocent happiness?      

Slowly and slowly things start to fall in place                         

Despite the pain, i now enjoy running through the race               

Dancing to the humming of birds, I feel like I rule the world                    

I seem to unravel joys unheard      

The monotonous blue of the sky now looks jubilant                      

The canvas above is sprinkled in white with creases and cuts            

Those broken lines ,no more, give me pain                               

But teach me that ours scars add glitter to our name                    

Leaving the comfort zone is a bliss   

Well now I do understand that i did not part with my innocent happiness.
