Her Right
Her Right
She stood by the road
With no one hearing her moan
Her eyes seeing her impending death
And She unable to catch even her breath
Her heart was in another world
Where her voice could not be heard
She was screaming within, tears rolling down
Her home now became a strange town
The Gift of her life by her mother
Had been taken and ruined by another
"I am ruined", she yelled
"I have to die", she was compelled
"This had to happen", the society sighed
"I am not to be blamed", the girl cried
She was looking for a ray of hope
"She is a characterless girl", declared the pope
HER people, HER society did not let her rise
But an idea did arise
She happily ended her life
"I am free", she claimed her right.
