Owl
Owl

The nocturnal owl, ruler of the night
City or wild tries to stay out of sight
At peace in the forest, sunlight or moonlight
Tiny or giant, they are a pretty sight
With eyes in front and a noiseless descent
They hunt pests and check their ascent
A piercing stare, with attitude to dare
They are the smartest and wisest of folklore everywhere
Losing out to the only enemy, mankind
Who are out to rid this world of all kind!
O mighty Owl, sad, but true, I don't see your future in my mind.
