Our Love is Our World
Our Love is Our World
Busy old sun, go shine outside,
You light the world so big and wide;
But in this room, your power is small,
For love is greater than it all.
Why do you wake the world each day?
Our love needs no such light or way;
In each other’s eyes we see
A better world, just you and me.
Let kings rule lands and seas so far,
Let nature shine with moon and star;
But none can match the joy we find
In hearts that are forever joined.
Time may pass and seasons change,
Life may seem unsure and strange;
But true love never fades away,
It grows much stronger every day.
No cold of winter, heat of sun,
Can break the bond that has begun;
For love is not so weak or small,
It stands the strongest of them all.
If stars fall down and skies turn dark,
Still love will shine just like a spark;
In every fear, in every part,
It lives forever in the heart.
So let the sun go on its way,
We don’t need night, we don’t need day;
Because in love we clearly see—
Our world is you, our world is me.
