The Floating Mist
The Floating Mist
Who is the floating mist?
Who comes and steals my dream,
Numbing my mind, scaring my senses,
And I can't scream.
Who is this dame, what's her name,
Why is she calling?
Will she let go, or will she hold me,
And stop me from falling?
She puts me to sleep, by waking me up,
I can't breathe,
She captivates me, making me sweat,
And my mind in a freak.
She scares me, encompasses me,
I jump from my solitude to my life,
I become two, fighting within,
Days are spent in strife.
In my crowded day, I open my eyes
And see her as my scenic dream,
In my lonely night, I close my eyes
And dream her in my dark reality.
My life's become black and white,
With colors splashed in,
I bathe in her light, feeling her warmth,
I am cleansed of my sin.
I reach out to her,
I want to tell her, that I am fine,
But she must not come, into my dream,
My nights are mine.
She only smiles, looks into my eyes,
I see my life in there,
She whispers to me, says we are one,
And she is there to care.
Days I spent, searching for love,
Now I know it is she,
I will protect her, even kill for her,
Even if it is me.
