My Mother
My Mother
The memorable moment of becoming a mother
Brings with it untold sacrifices
With an incredible fervor you take up roles
Of a nurse, a friend, a teacher and more.
You have endured whatever life put you through
And prepared for everything as they reveal
Traveled roads that I am yet to travel
Frail I would have become but for you.
If I make a wish would it be fair?
To go back and relive the good old days
When you would hold me in your arms
And make me laugh lifting me up in the air.
