Mother Nature Rebukes

This is me... Nature,

Your first mother.

I can’t keep quiet any longer,

Towards the pain I receive, from your ignorant creatures.

You pierced through my soils,

Slashed my verdant trees,

Scraped the skin of an innocent animal for leather,

Shot down birds for their feathers.

I gave you warnings and punishments,

All you ever cared about was your progress.

Now, it’s time to make you realize,

That you need to be wise.

Today, you are locked in your homes,

Protecting yourself from the enemy untold.

Yes, you know its COVID nineteen,

To date, you await its vaccine.

Pollution levels have dropped down,

Now you see animals roaming in town.

I am recovering slowly

And turning to be lush and green.

You all are my little ones,

I care about you and nurture you.

Then why not respect me the same way?UNFOLD

Forget not that the earth longs your bare feet

And the wind wants to play with your hair….!!
