Longing

He disappeared and has not come home for eleven long years;

He left me devastated but did not care to wipe away my tears;

I keep listening and listening, but alas I cannot hear him call,

I’d rush out to welcome him, even if I had to break the wall.

Just for a moment could he not come and say “How are you?”

For the much loved Departed surely it is not very hard to do!
