Life, Online
Life, Online
April 2020: start of this all,
The blackboard was replaced with a computer and wall.
Chalk was nothing but a mouse so small,
The present is what I will recall.
Email ID I shall create,
To attend the class, I shall wait,
‘Did she start the class? It’s already eight!’
My friend asks me in an irritable state.
Online classes, sometimes, a headache,
The best part about it is the ten-minute break,
Pretending an internet issue is a piece of cake,
Teacher’s words: ‘PAY ATTENTION!, for heaven’s sake.’
A hassle with the meeting link drives us mad,
We scream, ‘HELP ME, MOM, HELP ME, DAD!’
A hysterical homework makes us sad,
Greetings from the weekend make us glad.
Seriousness reduces in an online class,
Focus and solemnness shatter like glass.
Missing the blackboard and the grass,
But nothing can be done, now, alas!
