The Efforts Of A Teacher
The Efforts Of A Teacher
I, a student, wait for the teacher’s day
As a famished lion waits for its prey
Thank you teacher is what I’ll say
For leading me towards a moral way.
Wrong behavior is what they deprive,
To make it right they always strive.
Skills and discipline, in us they revive,
With their efforts we, students thrive.
To field trips they accompany us,
Their presence prevents us from making a fuss.
With the fear of their chiding,
we sometimes hush,
The coolest ones click selfies with us, on the bus.
English, science, social and math,
A tonne of patience is what the teacher hath.
They tell us to abandon wrath,
And always take the righteous path.
Did you think about how you will ever thank them?
Just tell them, ‘You are the reason what I am.
Out of every precious stone, you are the most valuable gem,
Out of all my childhood acquaintances, you wear the diadem’.
