A Girl Child'S Plea
A Girl Child'S Plea
With water cushion cuddling her,
Glistening like a pearl from an oyster,
With less time for the final show,
Here we have a baby girl's woe.
Mother, let me out, I wobble in fear,
Longing for the glimpse of the alluring world I hear,
Through the valley of the shadows of death,
I would nearly miss,
Let your undying love blow me a kiss.
For me, is it life inside a womb
Or death inside a tomb?
Do not sing me a death lullably,
Help me spread my wings and fly up high,
Suppressed by the gigantic waves of excruciating pain,
Drowning in a puddle of tears but all in vain.
An angel on Earth I promise to be,
Spare me father, I yearn for thee,
Hail thee O fearless one!
'Welcome abroad' would be said only by some.
For her, is it life inside a womb
Or death inside a tomb?
