Last Breath

The pink wall was all I saw,

The pictures on it making my eyes raw.

As the room I loved turned into my cage.

All sane thoughts left my intellect.

The rope hanging above my head,

Was my key out of this world wretched.

One small step and everything ends,

Right now, nothing makes sense.

One last breath I take,

As the cotton tightens around my nape.

Every moment flashes in my head,

Reminding me of the life I had lead.

The hugs, the kisses, the happiness,

The tears, the sobs, the loneliness.

The family who swore to protect me,

And the very same family who forgot me.

I have let the demons lose,

They had decided to make this noose.

I never hated my life,

I just never wanted to be alive.
