Lilith's Pain

As I gaze into your shiny, hopeless eyes,

Each piece of my resolve breaks and dies.

It’s so hard for me to see your broken heart,

How can I let you, so easily, fall apart?

The decision is not in my hands anymore,

It’s done and I am already at Hell’s door.

It was never my choice to leave this place,

But I had to make my sacrifice, with grace.

You know, because no matter what we breed,

We know, that we still are made of greed.

It was time for me, to prove that I can save you,

I just had to leave the world and pay my due.

These demons are exhausting to vanquish,

Each fight was filled with despair and anguish.

I have to tell you the truth about my departure,

I had to put a stop to it, each day was a torture

The beasts took my peace and quiet away,

I had to make sure that, they would pay.

What I forgot was that in taking them down,

I have to leave my home and wear their crown.

I am free and no more worried about the outcome,

I am now a queen and this is my kingdom, come.
