Fading Smile

Fading Smile

Gorgeous, mischievous I saw that night,

The dark room shone with a grin so bright.

Just that evening, I caught his smile,

His famous grin with its unique style.

That one evening, I got a grand sight,

One that for years I will keep for light.

I knew him from before, world renowned,

That smile of his, known in every town.

A few years passed, I could now see,

Gone is the smile that the stars could see.

Once so joyful, happy and bright,

Now had faded, stripped off light.
