He caught me
He caught me
My saree trailing behind me as I run,
I was just running from him for fun.
It’s always a joy when he catches me,
My feet move and I giggle uncontrollably.
My long black hair flying all around,
His only clue being my anklets’ sound.
My cheeks ache but I kept smiling,
Slowly coming to a halt and hiding.
My bangles fighting to tell him our direction,
He knew, I was just playing for his affection.
My heart raced wildly as I waited for him,
H
e started crooning my name like a hymn,
I couldn’t control myself and sighed happily,
I realized my fault when he found me easily.
In an instant, arms wrapped around my waist,
His eyes told me I was no more being chased.
Arms went around his neck as I snuggled close,
We stood like that, how long, no one knows.
Glancing into the deep brown pools of his,
Stood on my tip toes as I demanded my kiss.
We pulled apart only to take a deep breath.
