Hello COVID-19

Hello virus, serious human nemesis

WHO has declared you pandemic, situation a crisis

Your origin still mysterious, things in life quite amiss

Hundred plus nations infected, economy quite abyss.

East or West, this pandemic is the worst

No cure as yet, prevention is the best

Shutdowns everywhere, for humans a great test

Stay at home, no travel, a period of rest.

I too am infected, my thoughts are full of this virus

Poetry and prose rush forth, moments are adverse

Thus the time passes by, I am not at all averse

Writing these verses, which I am not trying to coerce.
