New Year Resolutions

In the hope of a new year, people make resolutions

Beginning the new year, resolutions give way to dissolutions.

Even if there is a will people can't find the way

Old habits die hard, but they still hold sway.

People say change is constant,

Don't expect a revolution, stay content.

Build a temple, give them ration

Election you can win, repeatedly in this nation.

Someone decides to walk for the nyay

Will he bring about a change, who can say?

In my immediate world potholes and broken footpaths remain the same.

All I do is keep resolving within myself I am game.
