The Garden By The Hill

As the traveler reached the forest,

An enigmatic aroma reached his nose,

Pursuing the cold breezes that brought them along,

He came across a bizarre valley,

Filled with belles fleurs.

Bewildered by the scenery,

The poor guy was in a fix,

Should he march along the road ,

Or go down to have some picks.

Lost in the bottomless abyss of life's drudgery,

All he was carrying with him was absolute misery,

Standing on the edge of the slope,

He decided to gather some hope.

With Sunset seeming to be distant,

His mind got made up in an instant,

Hurdling down the slopes,

He invaded the garden.

The flowers were bright red in colour,

As if they were an epitome of love,

And the fragrance,

Could easily turn anyone blind enough.

Finding joy after a long time,

He became unaware of when he fell asleep .

Upon waking, he realized it was too late,

Evening had almost stormed in, 

As it was getting more dark,

Even the trees appeared to hide their bark .

Without even wasting any more time,

He began to walk in prime.

While climbing up the hill, 

His leg slipped in the black atmosphere, 

And he fell with a bang, 

With nothing but a tragic shrill .

Suddenly, the dream came to end,

The father, still lying on the bed,

Thinking, how, 

By staying with the things we love,

All we can have is a happy and long life.
