Feeling Prayer!

Our friend had gone abroad on work,

He got back sick with a tummy upset worse, 

He was in hospital for a lot of tests,

That concluded he has to have an operation first, 

To remove a part that was infected bad, 

Which was later diagnosed as malignant, too sad! 

He accepted all this with a broad smile, you know, 

He didn’t want to take any treatment though, 

Ready to take all his pain, come what may, 

He will bear it all as God gave it to him this way, 

Then the doctor said, ‘ What you are doing is suicide!’ 

These words made him think hard, justified! 

The doc said, ‘We should do our best and start treatment fast’, 

He understood that he has to try hard, soothfast, 

Get treated and work towards progress,

Only then God will help him out of this mess, 

Just sitting there and bearing it all is like suicide, 

Listening to the doctor and following him up as his true guide! 

He has accepted all this with a smile willingly,

He knows that God knows best what he is doing convincingly, 

It’s not about fighting cancer, it’s about tolerating it, his reflection, 

Just as Christ tolerated crucifixion and achieved resurrection, 

Our friend is ready to tolerate the cancer and resurrect being disease free, 

What strong words from him, full of feeling, you see! 

The way he talks and prays is a feeling prayer,

We can sense the power of God in his words there,

He is not fighting but tolerating his illness,

Bearing with it willingly and taking treatment for fitness, 

God will surely be touched by his prayers and bless him,

His feeling prayers to cure him soon completely from within!
