MY HEART GOES ON

Like the never-succumbing, unsettling & ever thronging waves in a messy turbulent ocean,

A heart is a mischievous monster that pinches every second, disturbs and gets disturbed in the bargain, but still goes on.

An epicenter of turmoil as is it, always unsettled it remains,

A heart is a dark prison with keys owned by the person inside whom it prevails.

Stop how much you may, like a falling star it drops, like a melting candle it withers away on meeting the person of dreams,

& Like a dream, it shatters and wears off the very next moment when that love betrayal tears apart its all beautifully imagined frames.

But break it may though, my pious and unfathomed heart goes on and on,

For just like life appears after death, its show must also go on & on.

Oh, my beautiful, soft, nimble yet brave and noble heart- a source of life, no matter how much silence prevails on its outer shell,

& no matter, how much it is muddled up by infinite storms, infusing life in every single soul, its greatness is inexplicably tough to tell.

Like the Earth never stops moving, the clock ticks endlessly, the heart also goes on & on,

It leaps, it strides, it hops, it jumps, it cries out with agony but never fails to move & stride cause its show must go on & on for times anon.
