My Very Dear Knees!

Got up sleepy head at midnight to pee,

Placed my wrong foot first which hurt my knee!

Woke up the next day with pain and a swollen knee,

Went to the doctor to find out what it could be?

'Nothing much, you will be alright soon, ' he said,

But with a long list of tabs to take overspread!

Tablets and all, still the knee pain wasn't fully gone,

Then the X-ray and blood tests went on!

Realised knees are so important to stand or walk,

To diagnose and get well soon is simply not a cakewalk!

Too many tablets made me feel sick all the more,

So stopped everything and started physiotherapy outdoor!

Improvement seen every day with IFT and exercises,

To build up the weak muscles till it stabilises!

The importance of the knee is felt when you are immobile,

Due to which I felt so low and forgot even to smile!

Doctors are our saviours, who put us back on our feet,

Only with their advice and treatment, we are in for a treat!

Patience and effort our side with the right treatment,

Will make us well and fit all the time in agreement!
