We Three Friends!

We met today for a problem to solve,

That's been in our heads for so very long,

To help our friend invest his money well,

Maybe a land to purchase with a farm house and all,

That was the intention we met today, a Sunday afternoon,

Ordered for a drink and some potato chips,

Then another drink with some masala peanuts,

Some chicken to go with as its already lunch time,

A small drink and eat and some more drinks and eats,

Talk and talk except the problem we came to solve,

Talk about the college days, work friends and trips,

Talk about the family and the different problems at home,

Talk and talk over a few drinks and many short eats,

Already 3pm and time to start back home,

Now, realised the purpose of the meeting is not spoken at all,

That's what happens always when we three friends meet,

Not new to us as it's this usual way things unfold for us,

That's okay said our smart young friend, lets meet again to talk and solve it,

There's always another Saturday or Sunday afternoon to meet again and talk!
