Life Lesson
Life Lesson
When you hired and then quickly fired me
I didn't look tired
Not because I was wired not to worry
Because I knew everything is just temporary
When you used violence against my silence,
I still showed patience
Not because I was weak and helpless
Because unlike you I wasn't senseless
When my voice got curbed by your noise
I did not oppose
Not because I was a scared chicken
Because I had just learnt to stick to my life lesson
When you caused me pain and rejected me with disdain
I did not complain
Not because I was a voiceless object
Because I knew how to shape my conduct
When you forsook me and threw me as a useless book
I was not shook
Not because I had drained all my tears
Because I had transcended the barrier of all my fears
