Companionship

The one who has left is gone,

He is in our thoughts very near,

The most who misses him is his spouse,

Children too miss their parent,

But soon will find a loved one,

To start a home of their own,

But for the spouse, he was her all,

Whom she required as a companion,

Especially in the later years of life,

 To be by her side for everything,

Maybe some small talk, short visits,

Should have been possible for the spouse,

Just to feel good and have his presence,

 At least on some important days,

Prayers to God requesting this concession,

Just for the spouse who loved him with all her heart! 

Note: It's for both, husband & wife, both need each other till the very end! Read as She, her etc for He, his……..vice versa!
