Equality: A Dream?

As I step out of my house,

I realize that the stink of superiority is always active.

Even laws are just like a broken glass,

and expecting justice is like a dream without perspective.

In the true soil of India,

the houses are weak and fragile.

The women are expected to bet its backbone, though how much ever load may be on her,

she always has to cast a smile!

where the atmosphere becomes grey,

the men are treated as stray.

If they break even a single women's heart,

their detrimental days get a head start.

The true emotion of equality,

is the equal love and trust between men and women.

But this sweet idea will always remain a dream,

as everyone wants the fatter hen.

An innocent boy is being blamed,

another girl is getting raped.

Someone's honor is being taped,

And an innocent man is being framed!

'A no means no' is what we have learnt,

but even the men are not always wrong.

Women should not always be confined in their homes,

but the men should not always be considered strong.

Life is an adventurous journey,

and both men and women make it a colorful trail.

But the boat of equality will just remain in pages and speeches,

and won't ever set sail!!
